Tonbridge Christmas Festival
The Rotary Tonbridge Christmas Festival takes place on every year on the last Sunday in November. It runs from 1:45pm to 6:00pm although many of the stalls are open earlier.
The event is managed by Lollipop Events Ltd. on behalf of the club, with the support of TMBC together with Tonbridge Lions Club who provide many of the marshals for the event. It features a street market along the High Street, stage entertainment by local music, dance and drama groups and individuals, Santa’s Grotto with a real live reindeer, and to round everything off, a spectacular firework display over Tonbridge Castle.
There is a wide variety of stalls in the street market with something for everyone, with additional entertainment provided by the Hartley Morris Men. Large crowds traditionally enjoy the wonderful entertainment provided by groups such as Razzamatazz and the Tonbridge Rock Choir.
Father Christmas makes an appearance, riding down the High Street in his sleigh much to the delight of the many young visitors, who are then able to visit him in his grotto. He even brings two of his reindeer with him, who are a major attraction for many visitors!
